General Program InformationThe Agromedicine Program (AP) is one element of the Division of Public Health and Public Service of the Department of Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). It was established in 1984 as a partnership between MUSC and Clemson University. The AP was recognized by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in 1986 as a national leader in an innovative approach that links medicine and agriculture to improve the health and safety of agricultural workers and of the public as the consumers of agricultural products. The AP has three program areas: public service, education, and research.
