The Information Management Council (IMC) serves as the IT policy,
oversight and action arm of the Vice Presidents. Its charge is to establish an enterprise-centric viewpoint
for setting priorities to IT initiatives. To accomplish this role,
its members must focus upon MUSC’s business and processes –
not upon particular technologies. In its work, the IMC will be called
to facilitate change; for instance, ensuring MUSC does not automate
bad processes. Consequently, the IMC membership was drawn from MUSC’s
different missions, programs, and functions.
