Financial and Administrative Systems
Responsibilities and Areas of Oversight
- Enterprise level service support function
- Facilitate and manage the design, development, implementation,
and ongoing support of information systems in support of the business
management functions across MUSC; in the Division of Finance and
Administration, the hospital authority, the colleges, the Health
Science Foundation, and UMA
- Participate actively with business leadership, department heads,
business managers, faculty and information technology personnel
to develop strategies, execute tactics, set priorities, and resolve
challenges for the enterprise and ensure integration and accordance
with enterprise standards and practices
- Oversee the design, purchase, and/or development and implementation
of systems to ensure that the technology infrastructure and functionality
will meet end-user requirements. Eliminate duplication of systems
and streamiline financial information flow.
- Work with CIO and other directors in OCIO to ensure that strategic
missions of the university are accomplished, aligning resources
to meet shared goals of MUSC
- Maintain currency on new technologies, trends, and issues and
serve as a resource and technical consultant to all of the organizational
entities across MUSC
