Responsibilities and Areas of Oversight

• Enterprise level service support function
• Lead and manage the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of information systems in support of the educational and research functions at MUSC, including the colleges, faculty, students, the library, and research centers
• Active participation with deans, faculty, students, business managers, department heads and information technology personnel to set strategies, execute tactics, set priorities, and resolve challenges for the enterprise and ensure integration and accordance with University standards and practices
• Direct the design, purchase, and/or development and implementation of systems to ensure that the technology infrastructure and functionality will meet end-user requirements
• Work with CIO and other directors in OCIO to ensure that strategic missions of the university are accomplished, aligning resources to meet shared goals of MUSC
• Maintain currency on new technologies, trends, and issues and serve as a resource and technical consultant to all of the organizational entities across MUSC
