Habitat For Humanity - Nurses' Build Day
The Nurse Alliance Quality Council is sponsoring two (2) “Nurses Build” days during Nurses Week 2008 at local home sites with Charleston Habitat for Humanity. Please join us to make a difference in the life of a Charleston family! Please print off the volunteer Waiver of Liability, complete and bring with you to the worksite. Lunch will be provided. We will accept up to 20 volunteers on Thursday and 40 volunteers on Saturday. There are full day and half day shifts available. Please contact Amy Strohecker strohead@musc.edu (792-7839) to sign up. - Remember to wear closed-toe shoes and to bring sunscreen and their cameras!
- We will start at 8:30am, sign everyone in and have a quick orientation and safety brief. Then we will start building!!!
- We'll take a 30-45 min lunch break around noon (lunch provided) and then keep building until around 3:30pm.
- Habitat provides all necessary tools, supervision, water, restroom facilities, and first aid.
