Dear Fellow Employee

Thank you for taking the time to recognize a colleague with an APPLAUSE AWARD.  Recently we have had added additional programs for recognizing on the spot the terrific things our collegues do every day.  These programs are called STAR CARDS and the "I GOT CAUGHT" stickers program.

The creation of these additional programs have resulted in a change to the criteria for APPLAUSE AWARDS

APPLAUSE AWARDS:

The Applause program should be used for recognizing extraordinary employees who “go the extra mile” (beyond the scope of the job) to provide quality customer service and patient care. To be eligible, the employee must exhibit at least one of the organizational values. The act should be over and beyond the expectations of job performance for that job.

STAR CARDS:

A staff to staff “thank you” note. The STAR card is an immediate form of recognition and should be used to show appreciation for support, attitude, good work and to recognize and reward peers who demonstrate the standards of MUSC Excellence.

“I GOT CAUGHT”:

When you catch someone “doing it right,” give them an I GOT CAUGHT STICKER. See your leader for the location of these supplies in your area.
