Tuition, Fees, & Reduced Tuition

The tuition and fee schedule for full- and part-time students is publish annually and is available in June. The schedule is posted on the University website. It is also available from the Office of Enrollment Services. Full-time Ph.D. students on assistantships receive significantly reduced tuition and fee charges. Part-time students (including unclassified students) and visiting students also pay any applicable university, health, or student activity fees.

Assistantships

Funds are available for a limited number of assistantships (stipends) which are awarded to Ph.D. students according to academic merit. Applicants must be regular, full-time students. The student must be registered for a minimum of 15 credit hours in courses or research on campus during a regular semester to be considered full-time for reduced tuition. Any failure of the student to perform satisfactorily must be reported promptly to the dean by the chairperson of the Advisory Committee and the chairperson of the major department. Assistantships are renewable on July 1 of each year. Students are eligible to receive assistantships through the dean's office for 14 months from their date of matriculation. Assistantships may be supplemented at the discretion of the student's department or program. Graduate students may inquire about the availability of loans from the Office of Student Financial Aid Services.
