 Marine Biomedicine & Environmental Sciences (MBES)
"The President's House" (a.k.a. the White House): This two-story house is the administrative home for the MBES program, and is located on the Ft. Johnson campus adjacent to the Charleston Harbor. So named the President's House because the president of MUSC resided here over 20 years ago. Prior to that, it was the residence of the Harbor Master who oversaw the cargo entering and exiting the Charleston Harbor. It houses the offices of 4 MBES faculty, the MBES Business Manager, and graduate students postdoctoral fellows and visiting scientists. The White House also provides classroom space and a venue for student activities.
