Postdoctoral training is an integral part of the education/research experience at MBES. Postdoctoral fellows are supported by either their own grant/foundation funds or by those of their mentor. Training typically lasts 2-3 years during which time the fellow is fully devoted to research with no obligations for teaching or taking classes. MBES is a member of the National Postdoctoral Association which provides them with access to employment opportunities.
