Research:
Aquatic toxicology, physiology of marine organisms. Research in my laboratory is broadly focused on characterizing the lethal and sublethal effects of anthropogenic contaminants (pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, metals) on estuarine vertebrate and invertebrate populations. Specific areas of study include: the relationship between organophosphate insecticide-induced enzyme inhibition and lethality in vertebrates and invertebrates; the toxicity of complex contaminant mixtures, and the effects of nonpoint source agricultural and urban runoff on estuarine ecosystems.
