| For Fall
2005 admission to the Medical University of South Carolina, please get
your application submitted as early in 2004 as possible. The target
application deadline is 15 January 2005, however applications submitted
after this deadline will be reviewed. Application fees are waived if
you are applying to the doctoral program on-line.
Applications are reviewed in the order that they are received, so acceptances are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. For admission, GRE scores should be a minimum of 1100, and GPA should be in the range of 3.2(4.0 scale). No GRE subject (e.g. Biology) test is required. Research experience is highly valued and can compensate for lower GRE and GPA scores. (Admission Requirements and Guidelines). MUSC offers University stipends ($21,000/year for 14 months) to all accepted doctoral students. When you submit your application, you will automatically be considered for a University stipend - there are no additional forms to fill out. Online application is available at no charge. Applicants for the MBES program are encouraged to contact our representative on the admission committee, Dr. Wayne Fitzgibbon prior to submission of their application..Your application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, and qualified applicants will be invited for an on-site interview in the winter/spring prior to a formal acceptance into the doctoral program.
