For security reasons, you should always set your iPad to be password protected.

To do this:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Click on Passcode Lock.

3. Click on Turn Passcode On.

4. Enter your desired 4 digit passcode.

5. Re-enter your passcode for verification.

6.Adjust the time until Passcode is required to your liking (Immediately is most secure!)

7. Your iPad is now passcode protected. You can now return to your home screen.
