Thorax

Computerized tomographic (CT) angiogram of the thorax and abdomen showing the thoracoabdominal arterial anastomoses through the superior epigastric arteries and the inferior epigastric arteries, connecting with the common femoral arteries through the retiform anastomosis between the two systems. Note the occluded abdominal aorta, which caused the development of the collateral circulation. 1st image shows anteroposterior view. 2nd and 3rd images show lateral right and left views of the thoracoabdominal arterial anastomoses through the superior epigastric arteries and the inferior epigastric arteries.

MRA with 2D reconstruction of the chest in a venous phase showing the superior vena cava and the arteries still opacified. Note the filling of the portal vein and hepatic veins.

Venous circulation of the thorax in an anterior view.
