Appropriate Use of PPP Accounts
The University's remote network access service may be used only for activities which directly support the University's missions of education, research and patient care. It is not the University's intent, in providing this service, to offer unrestricted personal access to the Internet or to any other network resources.Incidental personal use of remote access accounts is permitted only to the extent authorized by the University's Computer Use Policy and by State law. Inappropriate use of a remote access account constitutes an ethics code violation, which exposes the account holder to University-administered sanctions for unethical behavior and to potential prosecution by the State of South Carolina.
