Goals - 2005
- Security: Develop enterprise-level security strategy and
architecture
- Field Engineering / Desktop: Expand the use of managed
workstations and align staff to support PCs and Macintoshes at all MUSC locations
- Technical Services: Install appropriate data center UPS
and fire system to provide continued availability of systems, develop and
implement an effective data storage solution, consolidate infrastructure software
solutions and build a database management team
- Network Analysis: Eliminate non-manageable network devices,
reduce single points of failure, and enhance troubleshooting tools and processes
- Customer Services: Inventory and document support processes
and build efficient practices
