Infrastructure Services

Headed by Kurt Nendorf, this division's responsibilities and areas of responsibility are:

• Enterprise level service support function
  
• Lead and manage the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of infrastructural related systems at MUSC, including but not limited to:
  • Data and voice communications (wired and wireless)
  • Network management
  • System administration for core services, such as electronic mail and user accounts
  • Data center operations
  • Support Desk
  • Workstation support services
  • Security audits, monitoring, and forensic reporting
  • Technical reviews
    
• Work with CIO and other directors in OCIO to ensure that strategic missions of the university are accomplished, aligning resources to meet shared goals of MUSC
  
• Maintain currency on new technologies, trends, and issues and serve as a resource and technical consultant to all of the organizational entities across MUSC
