The Role Based Authority Model

All applications, especially mission critical applications should address three central identity management principles:

Role-base authority is aimed at addressing "access" -- Can you get what you need? Your identity would be tied to your role in the MUSC enterprise. If you're a nurse, doctor, or other caregiver, you would get patient information. If you worked in accounts payable or receiveable, you would get access to financial systems. If a student, then to student information, etc.
