This page shows how to connect to a MUSC Homeroom account using Macintosh OS X, 10.2.8 or greater.

You Must:

You Must Not:

  • Be using Macintosh OS 9 (find that here)
  • Be using a Macintosh OS configuration below 10.2.8

 

1. From the Finder's Main Menu, Click on GO and select Connect to Server

2.The dialog box at right shows what you should type under Server Address:

type it exactly as you see it here.

Then Click Connect

3. When you click connect, you will be asked if you want to add this Homeroom connection to your keychain.

You should Deny this in the interest of security.

 

Click Deny

4. Now you will see a login screen for your Homeroom drive.

Name: Your MNA Account Name

Password: Your MNA Account Password.

Then Click Options.

5. Note the options to the right. You want to click the "Allow Secure Connections using SSH"

Leave UNchecked Add Password to Keychain

Click OK

6. The final dialog box will show a scrollable list of volumes. Scroll down to your Homeroom (your MNA login), highlight it, then click OK.

Your Homeroom is now on your desktop.
