If you get a call saying "All Jobs" are printing on the labels:
1. get the lynx ID
2. Go to start run>type \\[LYNX/DAL ID}>hit enter
3. right click on the formfast printer (HP 4350)
4. Go to Properties. If it asks you to install a driver click NO.
5. Click on the Ports Tab.
6. Click Configure Port
7. Highlight and Copy the IP or Hostname of the Printer.
8. Paste that into a browser. If its the hostname, add ".muh.musc.edu" or ".ch.musc.edu" or wherever the machine is located.
9. Click on the Settings Tab.
10. Click on Paper Handling.
11. Make sure that tray 2 is set to Letter/Plain and make sure that Tray 3 is set to Letter/Labels. Tray 3 is usually set to Letter/Plain when they have this problem.
12. Click Apply.
If you get a call saying that the allignment is off on the Bar Code or that pharmacy is saying the Bar Code is unscannable:
1. Get the lynx ID
2. Keep the user on the phone.
2. Go to Start > Run > type \\[LYNX/DAL ID}and hit enter
3. Right click on the formfast printer (HP 4350)
4. Go to Properties. If it asks you to install a driver click NO.
5. Click on the Ports Tab.
6. Click Configure Port
7. Highlight and Copy the IP or Hostname of the Printer.
8. Paste that into a browser. *If it is only the Short Hostname, add ".muh.musc.edu" or ".ch.musc.edu" or wherever the machine is located for the fully qualified host name.
9. Click on the Settings Tab.
10. Click on Configure Device.
11. Click on Print Quality.
12. Click on Set Registration.
13. Click on "Adjust Tray 3".
14. Adjust the X1 Shift up or down in increments of 5 and ask the user if you are going the right way. If so, continue to adjust accordingly. ((+ )numbers move the barcode right, (-) numbers move the bar code left.
Changing Printer Port Host Names after VLAN conversion:
1) Get to the printer by Selecting Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes.
2) Right-click on the printer you want to change and select Properties at bottom of list.
3) Select the "Ports" tab then click "Add Port" button.
4) Select "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "New Port" button.
5) click "Next" button and type in the port name for the printer listed below.
6) click "Next" then "Next" then "Finish" - window goes away. Click "Close" button to close "Printer Port" window.
7) Then click the Apply button. This will apply the new port and you will be able to print to the printer.
