Changes to Expect
During the 24 hours following this switchover all messages in your IMAP account,
EXCLUDING your Trash folder, will be copied over to your Exchange account
in a folder called "IMAP Folder".
Please note, if you have utilized "local" folders for storing e-mail
those will NOT be copied during this process, nor will they be viewable in
Exchange. To convert them into Outlook-readable ".pst" format, please follow these directions.
Address books are NOT included in this migration process, you will need recreate them in Exchange under Contacts.
You will also need to recreate any forwarding or filtering rules that you have setup on your IMAP account via Econtrol. To set rules, use Internet Explorer and follow these directions. If you do not have Internet Explorer, you can use the computers in the lobby of the ECL building or the shared computers in the Library to set your rules.
Automatic deletion after 180 days
The retention policy in Exchange is different then IMAP. In addition to
the standard 200mb space quota, Exchange AUTOMATICALLY DELETES all messages
stored in your Inbox and Sent-Items Folders after 180 days. For more info
