Outlook Quota
What is my Quota with Exchange/Outlook?
Time:- 183 days to start, down to 90 after retiring IMAP. Applied to main Inbox and Sent Items folders.
- If you need to keep mail within the system longer than 183 days, create subfolders
- Items will roll into Deleted Items and stay there for 14 days
- Entire Exchange account ("mailbox") cannot be larger than 200MB
- Individual message cannot be larger than 20MB
- User creates a Personal STorage file (".pst file")
- Information Services wants them stored on “archive1” server
What happens when I reach my quota or go over-quota?
When you reach your quota, you will receive a message that you have done so. You will be able to send mail, however, until you reach 210MB; you will still be able to receive. All mail activity (send and receive) will cease at 225MB. At this point, mail being sent to you will queue up and wait for you to delete or store items.
