Secunia Software Inspector
The purpose of Secunia Software Inspector is to keep your third party software patched and up to date. Secunia PSI is an invaluable tool for you to use when assessing the security patch state of programs installed on your system. It constantly monitors your system for insecure programs, notifies you when an insecure program is installed, and even provides you with detailed ins-structions for updating the program when available.

**Home Use Only**For home use (PC's that never conncect to MUSC's network) we recommend using the free PSI installer from Secunia's website: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/
**Work/Home Use** For use on computers that connect to MUSC's network at any time:
Instructions for installing Secunia on your PC:
1. Run the installer found here: Click to Download
2. Launch the PSI installer and click Next on the Welcome screen.

3. Click “I accept the terms of the License Agreement” on the License Agreement screen and click Next.

4. If you would like Secunia to install updates automatically, leave "Enable Auto-Updates" checked and also check the box below it that "Requires user-interaction before each Auto-Update" so you are aware of what updates are being installed.
If you don't want updates to install automatically uncheck the "Enable Auto-Updates" box, you. This will allow you to control which updates are installed on your machine.

5. Check “Show full change information in tray icon notifications” which is not checked by default and click Next.

6. Accept the defaults on the Secunia CSI Integrations screen. It is already configured to point the client to our CSI console to be monitored.

7. Click Next on the Readme Information screen.

8. Click Install.

9. Once the installation has completed, click Finish.
