Mailing Lists at MUSC

  1. OCIO-IS Majordomo Mailing Lists (you can create your own or subscribe to ones already in existence)
A majordomo mailing list is a way of sending e-mail to one address and having it reach all of the other maillist subscribers, no matter what e-mail system they use. Most mailing lists consist of a group of people who share a common interest or circumstance. Mailing lists offer many options.

Majordomo mailing lists are the recommended way to reach groups of people. They can be used by anyone on campus (if subscribed). Create one of these lists in place of creating a list in GroupWise, if that's your e-mail client. GroupWise mailing lists can not be shared with IMAP e-mail users. Majordomo lists can be used by either.

For more information or to set up or subscribe to a list, visit: http://www.musc.edu/infoservices/majordomo/

  2. MUSC Broadcast Mailing Lists (anyone at MUSC - must subscribe)
Messages of general interest are collected and mailed to this list in a daily MUSC Broadcast Message. Occasionally, with messages of great urgency or importance, an individual message will be sent using the list. Membership is voluntary, you may add or remove yourself from the list.

For more information and to subscribe, visit: http://www.musc.edu/infoservices/majordomo/broadcast.html

  3. Mailing Lists for Student and Faculty Use (based on college and course)
