• Determine if:
- the position is currently vacant
- an FTE is available (or should be requested)
- the position will be vacated within the next 30days (and the incumbent
has given notification of departure)
- the Position Description needs to be Updated
- the position needs to be reclassified before posting
(The Position Description/ Physical Requirements information must
be submitted prior to posting )
• Obtain all required approvals :
- Dean and/or Department Head
- Financial Oversight Committee
• Post the position for recruitment on-line
utilizing the PeopleAdmin applicant system.
• Applications are reviewed by the Employment Consultant.
Applications of qualified candidates are referred electronically
to the Hiring Manager.
• Hiring Manager selects candidates for interview;
schedules and conducts interviews.
• Hiring Manager identifies candidate “Recommended
for Hire” and completes “Post-Hire Details”
in the PeopleAdmin system.
• Hiring Manager discusses proposed salary and hiring decision
with the Employment Consultant.
• Upon approval from the Department of Human Resources Management,
Hiring Manager makes offer to candidate, contingent
upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.
• Employment Consultant coordinates pre-employment
requirements and Orientation (if benefits eligible) .
• An original, approved PEAR form and approved
Request
for Exemption from Hiring Freeze form should be forwarded to
the Department of Human Resources Management, HR Operations / Records
Management, Room 102-K Harborview Office Tower.
• Pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements,
employee will complete the sign-up paperwork at
the Department of Human Resources Management, Room 105, Harborview
Office Tower.
