The core of the summer experience is an individual investigative research project conducted in the laboratory of a faculty mentor. Students who are accepted into the program will choose a project from a range of choices. The positions in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program are funded by multiple training sources. Applicants to the program are asked to look over the list and select their top five research interests.

MUSC has the following summer undergraduate research grants to support students.

Other opportunities for summer undergraduate research are available in the following areas. Sources of financial support include departmental and faculty funds.
