Application materials to be submitted include:

1. Application form
2. An official transcript of all college work (from each institution attended)
3. Two academic letters of recommendation (preferably from faculty familiar with science coursework)

The application includes essay type questions. Please make sure your answers are brief and to the point - 250 words or less for each section. You can answer the questions in Microsoft Word and then cut and paste the answers into the online application form.

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program by mid-March by email and letter. If you are accepted into the program for summer you will be required to submit additional information. A packet of forms will be sent to you, which must be completed and returned by April 15th. Upon acceptance into the program, each participant must submit to a criminal background check and a drug screen test in accordance with MUSC requirements. An unsatisfactory result in either of these will result in rescinding the offer into the program.

The Application deadline has been extended from February 1 to March 1, 2009. Transcripts and recommendations must be postmarked by March 1, 2009. For further information please contact the College of Graduate Studies Dean's Office at:
