Christopher C. Lapish grew up in Greer, South Carolina where he attended Riverside High School. Upon graduation he attended Georgia Southern where he played Soccer and majored in Biology. Midway through his sophomore year he transferred to Clemson University where he completed his bachelors in Microbiology. He later accepted a job at MUSC as a research specialist in the department of physiology. Kindling his interest in Neuroscience, he began in the fall as a graduate student in Dr. Jeremy Seaman's lab where he is studying the cellular and molecular basis of memory. He is considered a mild music fanatic, enjoys kite surfing and still plays soccer to this day. He plans to pursue his PhD in Neuroscience and stay in the research field with a strong interest in helping to improve and inspire science education at the K-12 level.
