++++RT PROGRAM NEWS++++

- We put Assignment #3 in the mail to you today. There are more pieces to the third assignment than there were in #1 and #2. When you get your packet, please take the time to carefully review the packet so you can plan your time to get it all done.

One of the components of Assignment #3 asks you to review a web site. Some of the web sites are graphics intensive and will definitely work better on a high-speed connection. If you have trouble accessing your assigned website, please let Kathleen know (kkelly@the-aps.org) and she will find a different site for you to review.

- Meet your Mentors (http://www.the-aps.org/education/2004rts/mentors.htm)! The Mentors page is up, but is a work in progress. We will be adding each mentor's bio as well as information about our Physiologists-in-Residence.

Speaking of mentors, you will be hearing from your Mentor by email in the next week or so. Each Mentor has an assigned group of four or five 2004 RTs. You will work with your Mentor one-on-one and in your small group via email and online at the Project WISE site as well as at the Forum in July.

- Forum travel notes from Brooke:

* Attached is the APS airline policy that spells out financial responsibilities and procedures for APS fellows travel. Please take a minute to review it.

* If you're planning on driving to the Airlie Conference Center in Warrenton, directions can be found at http://www.airlie.org/directions/index.htm or on www.mapquest.com/directions.  (Airlie's address is 6809 Airlie Road, Warrenton, Virginia 20187.)  If there's a problem on the way, you can contact Airlie at 540-347-1300.

* Please remember to keep all of your receipts from the time you leave your house to the time you return home.  The APS will pay for meals/snacks while you're traveling to/from the Forum.

- If you are having any technical issues with the Project WISE web site (http://wise.berkeley.edu), please do two things:

--Report your problem to WISE using the WISE Support section.

--Drop Kathleen an email (kkelly@the-aps.org) so she can follow up with WISE.

++++APS EDUCATION OFFICE NEWS++++

- The APS web site (www.the-aps.org) was down over last weekend and early this week. We're back up and running. Apologies for any frustration you may have had trying to get on the 2004 RT website.
