Center for Global Health

The MUSC Center for Global Health, reporting to the Office of the Provost, is a university-wide initiative to bring global efforts under one umbrella to advance the global vision of MUSC and to serve as a catalyst for the innovative work of our faculty and students. The mission of the Center for Global Health is to advance MUSC’s efforts to improve health in South Carolina and around the world through research, education and training, and service.

Submit Your Abstract by March 22

The MUSC Center for Global Health is seeking MUSC students, residents, fellows, post-docs, faculty and staff who are engaged in global health related research, clinical, service, and educational projects to present their work during the 2024 MUSC Global Health Week.

Scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 11, the poster presentation session will take place in the Drug & Discovery Building Lobby. The deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, March 22.

The Center for Global Health is excited to announce that Dr. Nancy Reynolds, the associate dean of global affairs at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, will serve as the 2024 MUSC Global Health Week keynote presenter. Differences in Healthcare Delivery Across Borders – Global Perspectives Within the MUSC Community Panel

On April 10 at 4 p.m. Bioengineering Building Room BE 112, join MUSC panelists from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and Cameroon as they share first-hand experiences practicing research and delivering health care in their respective home countries and in the U.S. This roundtable discussion will feature discussion by panelists of their perspectives on how health is shaped in different contexts, challenges, barriers and strategies. This panel discussion will be available via Zoom broadcast as well.
