Requisition Entry Procedures

OPEN REQUISITION ACTIVITY

  • Enter Requisition Number
  • TAB THROUGH Requester (defaults to your ID)
  • TAB THROUGH Order Type (defaults to Requisition)
  • Enter Date Needed (if no specific date, enter 30 days from today’s date)
  • Enter Ship To (use quick list) New Ship To’s are entered by Procurement
  • TAB THROUGH Deliver To
  • TAB THROUGH Project Entity
  • TAB THROUGH Item field
  • Enter Description
  • Enter Quantity
  • Enter Unit of Measure (UOM) Use quick list
  • Enter Unit Price ($$.$$)
  • Press ENTER to add additional lines.

GO TO HEADER DETAIL VIEW

  • TAB THROUGH Description Field
  • If purchase requires Controller or Radiation Safety approval, enter CONTR or RADIA in Reference field.
  • Enter Suggested Vendor (OPTIONAL)
  • Click on Comments Button: YOU WILL BE PROMPTED TO SAVE BEFORE ENTERING COMMENTS.
  • Comments: Enter names of Approvers of Requisition, Your Name and Telephone # plus any related comments.

Click SAVE (comments must be saved before you can close comments window)

For single UDAK -GO TO ACCOUNTING DISTRIBUTION VIEW

  • Enter the UDAK. If not a grant, tab through the Year field.

For split funding - GO TO LINE ACCOUNTING DISTRIBUTIONS

  • Enter either the Quantity OR Percentage
  • Enter the UDAK. If not a grant, tab through the Year field

RETURN TO MAIN VIEW

  • Click on Forward Button
  • SAVE: MARK REQUISITION "ENTERED", SIGN AND DATE

Copy of Approved REQ and any supporting documentation should be sent to Procurement to the Attention of the specific buying group.

GO TO LINE DETAIL VIEW IF SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR A PARTICULAR LINE
