A graduate of Emory University School of Medicine and University of Virginia residency program.  Dr. Evans practiced in Prosperity, SC and Jasper, GA before coming to Seneca.
Dr. Evans:  "Access to rural health care is supremely important.  I am here to teach students and residents the opportunities and limitations of rural family practice, focusing on obstetrics and procedural skills.
Why Dr. Evans chose Family Practice:  "Specifically preparing for rural practice, Family Practice training allowed the broadest range of experience including OB."

A 5th generation Oconee native, Dr. Campbell has practiced in his hometown of Westminster since 1984.  

He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University, and his medical degree from MUSC.  He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA.

Kenneth Becker, MD

Associate Clinical Professor for the Department of Family Medicine at the MUSC.

Dr. Becker is board certified from the American Board of Family Practice with a specialty in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

He is a former faculty member at Stoneybrook, Long Island, NY.

Dr. Becker also served in Operation Desert Storm.

Useful Info for Student

When available, students may stay in a furnished house arranged by Upstate AHEC (NO PETS, PLEASE).  Otherwise, students may arrange to stay with nearby family or friends.  For security reasons, housing information will be provided to students at orientation.  Questions may be directed to Donna Kern, MD (kerndh@musc.edu).

Students will be notified one week in advance by email to attend the mandatory clerkship Orientation / Academic Days / OSLE on the first 3 days of the rotation.   In addition to clerkship guidelines and instructions, students will be issued laptops with online capability, printers & PDA's--to be used as research and learning tools and to produce required clerkship presentations and documents.
