Useful Info for Students

Housing may be available in Bamberg (35 minutes from Allendale) which is managed by Lowcountry AHEC. Housing may be shared with another clerkship student or students from other programs (NO PETS, PLEASE).  Or, students may arrange to stay with nearby family or friends.   For security reasons, housing details will be provided to students at orientation.  Questions may be directed to Donna Kern, MD (kerndh@musc.edu).

Students will be notified one week in advance by email to attend mandatory clerkship Orientation / Academic Days / OSLE during the first 3 days of the rotation.   In addition to clerkship guidelines and instructions, students will be issued laptop computers with online capability, printers & PDA's--to be used as research and learning tools and to produce required clerkship presentations and documents.
