Gift Aid is funding which requires nothing in
exchange for the dollars received, e.g., grants or scholarships. Self
Help Aid, on the other hand, requires some type of reimbursement, usually
in the form of work, loan payments, or service.
Specific programs are discussed in detail on
the following pages. Program regulations often restrict eligibility
based upon the student's academic classification or course of study.
Refer to the College Key when reviewing aid programs to determine their
appropriateness to your course of study.
