MUSC Radiation Safety Training for
Diagnostic X-ray Users
The Radiation Safety Office Online Training Course for X-ray Users
supplements the training users are required to receive on the operation
of each machine they use. The training course is designed to provide
basic radiation safety training to users that either operate or work
in proximity to x-ray machines. The training includes general instruction
on radiation protection principles, regulatory compliance, health effects
and radiation monitoring. Click the X-RAY Training link in the menu
to the left to begin this training session.
MUSC Radiation Safety Test for X-ray
Users
The Radiation Safety Test for X-ray Users is a twenty question multiple-choice
and true-false test designed to assess an individual's comprehension
of the material presented in the online training course. The test is
accessible through the last page of the training course. You must answer
at least 75% of the test questions correctly to pass the test. The Radiation
Safety Office will notify you of your score once you submit the test.
To receive credit for completing the training the test must be mailed
to the Radiation Safety Office at:

Or you can drop it by the Radiation Safety Office Workroom in room
276 West Hospital (near the American Red Cross Donation Center on the
2nd floor of the main hospital).
