The establishment of the MUSC Evelyn Trammell Institute for Voice and Swallowing was made possible through the generous support of the Mark and Evelyn Trammell Foundation of Atlanta.  Evelyn Trammell, a successful entrepreneur, was committed to furthering quality health care research, particularly related to pulmonary disease.

The Institute at  MUSC maintains a vital association with the Evelyn Trammell Voice and Swallowing Center at Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta.
