This transitional
clinical doctorate program is a post-professional physical therapist educational
program that enables MUSC licensed or licensed-eligible physical therapist
graduates to obtain this clinical doctorate (DPT) by demonstrating knowledge
commensurate with that of current, entry-level professional DPT program
outcomes and to do so in a way that takes full account of the learner's
knowledge, skills, behaviors, and experience..
Requirements
Applicants must be
MUSC graduates of:
1. MHS with a concentration
in Physical Therapy
2. MSRS with a concentration in Physical Therapy
Application
Process
In addition to completing
the application, the applicant must provide supplemental materials:
1. Licensure: Copy
of current physical therapy license from the state licensing board(s)
indicating no infractions against your physical therapist
license OR transcript delineating that you have successfully
completed all the MUSC physical therapy requirements to sit for the
National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). You must have successfully
completed the NPTE prior to completion of
the MUSC t-DPT program. Information regarding additional requirements
is provided within the application.
2. Fees: A matriculation fee of $359 which covers records processing,
diploma generation, graduation ceremony, and background check is required
at acceptance. In addition, there will be a per semester course fee
of $158.
3. Applicants DO NOT need to provide copies of transcripts, references,
or test scores.
