Description
The doctoral program
in physical therapy is based in the College of Health Professions. Physical therapists focus primarily on those individuals
whose potential or actual impairment is related to musculoskeletal, neuromuscular,
cardiopulmonary, and integumentary (skin) systems. The Physical Therapy
program at MUSC has been a leader in utilizing effective and efficient
instructional methods and materials that capitalize on the advantages
of instructional technology. We have established diverse clinical education
sites that provide our students with a broad-spectrum of clinical experiences.
The cumulative MUSC physical therapy program national licensure pass rate has been consistently above the national average. Physical
Therapists are in high demand for their skill and experience. This is
a profession filled with opportunities for growth and diversification.
Requirements
Applicants admitted
to the program will be selected from college and university students who
have or will have completed a bachelor degree with a minimum of 3.0 cumulative
