Enrollment Management | Application for the transitional Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies - for the practicing physician assistant

Description
This web-based, online distance education program is designed for the licensed, clinically practicing PA who earned a bachelor’s degree during his/her PA education. The purpose of this program is to provide advanced learning experiences and bridge the difference between the PA bachelor degree curriculum and the PA master degree curriculum. This will be accomplished by providing twelve semester hours of course work in research methods, advanced clinical problem solving, and evidence based medicine.

Requirements
Prerequisites for admission to this program included; licensure to practice medicine as a physician assistant, NCCPA certification, possession of a bachelor degree from an ARC-PA approved program, and a letter of recommendation from your employing physician.

International Applicants
Due to the distance-education nature of this program, MUSC is unable to issue- I-20 forms to allow students to obtain F-1 student visas. Only U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and those holding other valid U.S. visas will be accepted.

Application Process
IIn addition to the application itself, the applicant must complete supplemental reference materials specific to which they are applying. For those applying online these will be provided in an email.

Applications will be accepted until August 8, 2008, and then no additional applications will be permitted. If you have considered earning a Master degree, but have not yet followed up on that goal, we encourage you to apply while the program is still available.
