Enrollment Management | Application for the Master of Science in Clinical Research – Southeastern Predoctoral Training

Description
The MSCR program was created to provide additional training in clinical research for professionals whose careers in academic medicine would require them to successfully obtain consistent extramural funding as principal investigators on grants and/or for investigator initiated clinical research projects. These trainees will become faculty in medical schools and will embark on a career in clinical research as the team leader - the goal being that they will be successful in obtaining grants from NIH, etc.
Students complete the program in one year on a full time basis. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The degree is awarded from the College of Graduate Studies (Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology). More information can be found at http://www.musc.edu/dbbe/academics/mscr.php.

Requirements
Students in this program will primarily be senior residents, fellows, or junior faculty at MUSC. While this program specifically targets individuals at MUSC, faculty and staff at other institutions previously trained in the health professions, and other qualified professionals in health care who wish to develop their clinical research skills, may also enroll. The applicant must possess: (1) a bachelor's or a master's degree in the health/clinical sciences from an accredited institution of higher education (e.g., B.S.N., M.H.S.) *and* a professional designation (e.g. R.N., C.T., P.T., O.T. R.); or (2) a doctoral degree from an accredited school in the health/clinical sciences (e.g., M.D., Pharm. D., O.D., D.M.D., Ph.D.).
