| Description
The Department of
Pharmacology offers a graduate training program providing its students
with the intellectual foundation and research tools for making original
contributions to the understanding of how drugs and other chemicals affect
living processes from the molecular/cellular to the organismal levels.
Research areas under investigation include cancer biology, drug development,
cell signaling, proteomics, pharmacokinetics and toxicology. More information

The Department also offers
specialized training in pharmacotechnology, which prepares the student
to carry out procedures related to new drug discovery using live animal
models.
Requirements
In general applicants
are required to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, a competitive GRE score, and a baccalaureate
