Discount: After annual deductible of $500, co-payment of:
            $10 for generic
            $15 for trade
            $21 for prior authorization medications
Maximum of 4 prescriptions per month but can override for certain medications

The Uninsured Population

Communicare

If a patient cannot afford medical insurance, this program can get medical care and prescriptions.  A $20 application fee is required now at initial sign up and renewal.
Eligible if:

1. South Carolina Resident who does not have insurance (including Medicaid, veteran’s health benefits)*
2. Income near federal poverty guidelines
1. $13,000 for individual
2. $17,000 for family of 2
3. $22,000 for 3 people in house
3. One of the following conditions:
1. Currently employed
2. Currently receiving unemployment compensation
3. Currently receiving social security retirement
4. Currently receiving social security disability

* Patients enrolled in Medicare-B eligible for free prescriptions but not free doctor’s visits.
