The curriculum for the Trident Medical Center-MUSC Transitional Year Residency is designed to give the residents broad exposure to common medical problems both in hospital and ambulatory settings. The curriculum is divided into 10 five-week blocks with a 2-week orientation block. Curricular elements include:

• Two week orientation
• 5 blocks Family Medicine Inpatient Service
• 1 block Emergency Medicine
• 1 block Ambulatory Care
• 1 block Radiology
• 2 blocks Electives
