Description

This course is for the medical student who has an interest in learning more urology or is considering Urology as a career. The student functions as an assistant intern in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Course objectives

  • Bedside, operating room and teaching rounds
  • Access to student tutorials held each week
  • In-depth understanding of history and physical needed in management of urology patient
  • Managed skills needed in caring for the urology patient
  • Basic surgical skills including scrubbing and knot tying
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic studies routinely used in urology
