Description
This course
is for the medical student who has an interest in learning more
urology or is considering Urology as a career. The student functions
as an assistant intern in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Course objectives
- Bedside,
operating room and teaching rounds
- Access
to student tutorials held each week
- In-depth
understanding of history and physical needed in management of
urology patient
- Managed
skills needed in caring for the urology patient
- Basic
surgical skills including scrubbing and knot tying
- Basic
understanding of diagnostic studies routinely used in urology
