Description

Introduces students to the care of cancer patients.  Emphasis is placed in the role of radiation and the multi-disciplinary nature of the management of malignant disease.

Course objectives

  • Understand how cancer is staged
  • Identify the presenting symptoms of the most common cancers
  • Obtain a background in radiation techniques
  • Develop and understanding of the prognosis of the most common malignancies
