College of Health Professions students were recently recognized at the MUSC Student Leadership and Volunteerism Awards Banquet held April 15, 2009. The Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2009 received recognition by the MUSC Gives Back Community Volunteer Award  efforts at the Annual ALS HOPE Race which raised $35,000 for South Carolina.  Mason Hicks, Physician Assistant Class of 2009, received recognition for volunteering 220 hours by participating in MUSC Cares Clinic, working with the Charleston Police Department as a program developer, and conducting CPR and AED classes.
