There is a pressing need for qualified health care administrators to lead healthcare organizations in providing high quality patient care in the most cost-effective manner. These administrators find employment opportunities in a variety of settings -- hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term care facilities, public health agencies, physician-based practices, and managed care organizations. Career opportunities abound for capable, highly skilled individuals. The division of health administration and policy offers two master-level formats for individuals interested in pursuing a career, or furthering a current career, within health care administration. Master in Health Administration - Executive Program
The Executive Master in Health Administration (MHA) program is designed for working health care professionals who wish to advance their careers. Using a combination of on-campus and Internet-based instruction, the program enables students to complete the coursework in two or three years, while continuing to work and live in their home communities. The Residential Master in Health Administration (MHA) program is designed to develop the health care leaders of tomorrow and is tailored for students that are interested in a full-time program.
