Annual Health Economics Conference - The purpose of this invitational conference is to facilitate the exposure and discussion of cutting edge research in health economics. The 17th Annual Health Economics Conference was hosted by the Center for Health Economic and Policy Studies, Department of Health Administration and Policy, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. It was co-sponsored by the Management Science Group from the Department of Veterans Affairs. We invited both theoretical and empirical papers on health economics topics, and encouraged the participation of economists in all fields whose current research focuses on health care issues. Papers were chosen for their originality, innovativeness, and rigor. Click here to see the final agenda from the 2006 Conference. Funding for this conference was made possible, in part, by grant #1 R13 HS 16352-01 from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
