 | The College of Health Professions Complex | Established in 1966 to meet the need for more and better-prepared paramedical professionals, the College of Health Professions has consistently grown to meet the expanding demands for quality health care. Now, in our 42nd year as a College, we continue to meet that same demand for health care professionals, but on a scale and to a degree unimaginable forty years ago. Our growth has mirrored the explosive growth in health care as evidenced by our enrollment of more than 850 students, largest among the Medical University’s six colleges, and by our new, technologically advanced, state-of-the-art facility. As we have done for over forty years, the College of Health Professions continues to serve the citizens of South Carolina, the region and the nation by providing an environment for learning and discovery through education, applied research and the provision of health services. We continually strive to improve the delivery of quality health care to a diverse population through: interdisciplinary, entry-level, graduate, post-graduate, and continuing education, and the provision of direct services. The promise of our next forty years and beyond is the same dynamic optimism that has characterized our first forty, allowing us to meet the health care needs of our constituents and the educational needs of our students, as one of the nation's preeminent institutions of higher education in the allied health sciences.
