Silent Auction Rules & Regulations
- Personal bid numbers will be provided at check-in. You must have a number to participate in the auction.
- Each item has a bidding sheet which includes an item description, value, and restrictions where applicable. Enter your bid number and bid amount on the next available line under the last bid. Bids that do not meet the specified requirements will be disqualified.
- Bid numbers must be legible. If the auction volunteers are unable to read your number, the next highest bidder will be declared the winner.
- Please read the restrictions listed on the bidding sheets prior to bidding on an item. Buyers are responsible for adhering to any restrictions imposed by the donor.
- The auction will begin at 8:00 p.m. and will have a phased closing schedule starting at 10:00 p.m. At the end of each closed section, winning bids will be circled on the bid sheets; a copy will be left on the auction table for you to check to see if you have won an item. Please do not remove these bid sheets. Any bids placed after specified closing times will be disqualified.
- Full payment is required beginning at 10:45 p.m. in the adjacent check-out room and can be made with CASH, CHECK, VISA or MASTERCARD. All items must be taken prior to the end of the Ball.
- All sales are final; no refunds or exchanges.
- Dollar values placed on auction items are estimates of retail values and not guaranteed by the Charity Ball Committee.
- Please direct any questions to the volunteers stationed throughout the auction.
