Personal Profile upgrades pager management

On May 12, Simon Web will add a new section called Personal Profile that will allow you to manage your own pager’s status, coverage, referral, and messages visually.

These are features that, in the past, were only managed through the Simon VRU (792-0590) or by the MUSC Call Center. With the upgrade to Simon Web, MUSC will also install added security to your Pager Profile in the VRU for those of you who currently change Status, Coverage, and Referral over the phone. Your login and password will be the same for both Simon Web and the VRU (see below).

To access your Simon web Personal Profile:
  • This is the same address that you were using for Simon Web Paging Access. All Simon Web functions will now be accessed from this single address.
  • Once in Simon Web, click the link to Personal Profile from the Navigation Menu on the left.
  • Simon Web will present you with a login window.
  • Enter your pager ID number in the User ID field.
  • Enter the last four digits of your employee identification number in the Password field. This is your Default Password. You may change this password once you log in. Functional pagers default password will use the five digit pager ID#. You may change this password as well.
  • Click Sign In.
  • The Personal Profile Page is divided into two sections.
  • The top section shows your current pager information.
  • The bottom section gives you choices to change your pager information such as Status, Coverage, and Referral. You may also view your Stored (Active) Messages and Paged (Archived) Messages.

For more detailed instructions, see the Broadcast e-mail, or call the Information Services Help Desk at 792-9700.
